Lead On!

Today I’m working with two of my fellow ITS to train 17 administrators at the school and district level on blogging and podcasting. It’s funny how, the more things change, the more they stay the same. The things that kids spend the most time agonizing over are the titles/url of their blogs and the appearance. Adults are exactly the same–takes a good 10 minutes to get the domain names created! (This is a good sign, by the way–they are taking them very seriously.)

Should be fun to watch the blogs and podcasts get going. We want to create administrators who are mentors to our teachers and students, who see the value of these tools and want to learn and do more (see Greg Farr). This group and 17 or 18 more on Wednesday will be a great start.
